This poem by Russell Kelfer Sums It Up

You are who you are for a reason
Your part of an intricate plan
Your a precious and perfect unique design
Called Gods special woman or man

You look like you look for a reason
Our God made no mistake
He knit you together
Within the womb
You're just what he wanted to make

The parents you have are the ones he chose
and no matter how you may feel
They were custom designed with God's plan in mind
And they bear the masters seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy
And God wept that it hurt you
but it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason
You've been formed by the Master's rod
You are who you are, Beloved
Because there is a God.

Rise Up!

Rise UP! written by:Letitia Carter

by Letitia Ellis Carter on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:21am
In the mist of the morning,
With a new day dawning,
In the hustle and bustle,
Of this crazy world we live in.

There is a time for cryin,
And a definite time for dyin,
But I don't think I'll be doin,
Either one today for I'm--

Gonna Rise up! From the lowest valley,
Scream from the highest mountain,
Sing to the top of my lungs,
It's a Glorious day!

I'm gonna Rise up,
and take my stand,
Love and unite with my fellowman,
And finally be what the Lord
has wanted me to be,
I'm gonna rise up today-- and I'm gonna be me.

You may not like the clothes I wear,
But the Lord above he does not care,
I am not judged for that stuff anyway,

You may not believe the way I believe,
And judging you isn't up to me,
There's a Lord above much bigger and stronger
Waiting for redemption so you can say

I'm--mmm

Gonna Rise up! From the lowest valley,
Scream from the highest mountain,
Sing to the top of my lungs,
It's a Glorious day!

I'm gonna Rise up,
and take my stand,
Love and unite with my fellowman,
And finally be what the Lord
has wanted me to be,
I'm gonna rise up today-- and I'm gonna be me.
